Hawaii-Big Island

The Big Island is expansive and offers diverse terrain and experiences. Sadly, we weren’t able to see lava flows as originally intended.

Beautiful sunsets, cool drinks and of course…flowers on the toes to match the beauty of the island.

Beautiful hikes with stunning scenery including black sand beaches.

This mama turtle was looking for a quiet place to lay eggs, unfortunately she picked a busy beach.

Black lava makes for a stunning palette for this striking blue water at the southern-most point in the U.S.

You can take the man out of the Navy, but you can’t take the Navy out of the Man.

Stacy continues her tradition of shopping at ABC stores throughout HI. This time however, was pre-cocktails.

So many beautiful waterfalls to admire including this triple waterfall at Umauma Falls.

The rough crashing waves and vivid blue seas are fascinating to watch.

So many places to explore on the Big Island. We enjoyed our time here and the island is far less crowded with tourists than the other Hawaiian islands.
