Icelandic Adventures
This land brims with adventure and stunning natural sights.
We went to Iceland in search of the Northern Lights and were rewarded with these amazing views our first evening!
Iceland has more stunning waterfalls than any country deserves. And whenever it rains new waterfalls appear in every direction.
As if the scenery was not jaw dropping enough, mother nature added a rainbow filter for our photo. Gorgeous!!
We were blessed with exceptional weather in Iceland which allowed us to explore some beautiful beaches. You can tell from our photo that the signature Iceland wind was with us.
Brought to Iceland by Norse settlers in the 9th and 10th centuries, Iceland horses have remained a pure breed for over a thousand years. They are known for their friendly and curious nature, except for Terry's which he described as stubborn and uncooperative.
The raw beauty and magnificent scale of Iceland is hard to imagine until you bask upon her natural beauty at sunrise or sunset.
We rarely shy away from a new adventure. Glacier hiking was such a unique and fun experience.
We were amazed at the flora in Iceland, a virtual palette of spectacular colors juxtaposed against the beautiful blue water and mountains and glaciers.
If you are wondering about how nice the weather was in Iceland, Terry felt that it was flip-flop weather.
It might have been the warm weather or the various trips to the bar to enjoy our favorite rum, Stroh, readily available in Iceland that kept us warm.
On our full day super jeep tour, we were enchanted by the beauty that abounds.
If Stacy were taller she could have more easily climbed into the jeep after every photo and hike.
Who wouldn't want to get out regularly to capture photos of these magnificent glaciers.
Or to hike through these gorgeous canyons.
Some, who don't value their lives, might entitle this photo, the old woman and the sea. Just saying!!
A short hike led to panoramic views of the gorgeous valley with 3 stunning glaciers, that few visitors experience.
These types of vistas were so unexpected and made our time here even more memorable.
Grandiose and spontaneous, we couldn't help but marvel at the waterfalls and naturally we took time to indulge in some thermal spas.
Iceland was a bucket list destination for us, and we were not disappointed in her natural beauty and friendly people.
